Selesai Sudah

2 June 2012, our house in Puchong host its first wedding ceremony. The other three were held in Kuantan if you may ask. A simple but very merry wedding. Tiring too! Yet still fun thanks to Abang Hisham, Fahada, Aadiyat, Nurul, all the relatives, neighbours and friends for all help given. Not to mention our financier and Cheif D Mission.. Mommy & Daddy as well :)

Even Sorfina and Sahira was all excited for the wedding. This was the first wedding in the family they got to get involoved with so the next will be their dear Maksu Nun's wedding. wonder when that will be. Not too soon i hope. Dik Nun... you reading this?

The wedding preparation started way back in 2011 until the last week and into several stages too.. there were the curtains selections, bridal visit, surveying of caterers, goodies bag, spring cleaning and many more.

I still remember the day we all went curtain hunting. Since Taariq did not have a color theme yet we decided to follow the color that we chose for the curtain.. Boleh tak macam tu? First time in history kot pengantin takde warna pilihan.. No fear.. all the siblings are here! After pointing here there and everywhere, we came to a consensus and finally agreed to go for an english pattern curtain. Imagine..all 14 people pack in a curtain shop giving opinions.. mau tak pening tokey kedai tu.

Then there were the bridal hunting.. this one i did not join because they went on a weekday. Yes, it was during the school holidays but i however to not enjoy that previlege anymore. Sometimes.. i wish i were in the education line.. *sigh*. Anyway, Fahada and Abang Hisham decided that the theme would be emarald green and Taariq agreed.. so that was settled.

Next, we all went to Jakel for our uniforms for the big day. Speaking of Jakel, did you know that we are suppose to pronounce it as 'Jakil' and not 'Jay-kel'? Yup.. it originated from the founders name Mohamad Jakel Ahmad a Johorian that started of with a small business in Muar which then bloom to a Textile Empayar.

Ok, back to the wedding story... Nurul arranged on the Cards, Gifts and made arrangements for the day maid to come to our house several times.. Why? You see, my family loves to keep things... so imagine how many memarable junks we have after living in the same house for more than 15 years. Itu pon after going through the stuffs ada juga barang yang sayang nak dibuang.. sentimental values i guess :)

A day before the wedding, there was another spring cleaning. setting furnitures aside to make way for the Doa Selamat that night. After the ceremony, it was the bridal & canopy team's turn to work their magic.. I didnt realised it took them soooo long sprinkle their fairy dust to perfection..so some of us ended sleeping after 6 in the morning. The setting looks beautiful or was it because of my blurry eyes.. nope.. the pelamin, table setting and everything else do look pretty.

Alhamdulillah, on the big day, the weather was on our side and in general everything went well.

Some hiccups here and there.. but thats another story all together :)

IQRA'

Bacalah! Yes, besides the formal education, we have decided to send Sorfina to learn how to read the Quran. Sorfina can sing the huruf hijaiyah but does not know exactly which is which.

So four nights a week, she will learn IQRA with Ustazah Wan at the nearby mosque. Sorfina have started mengaji last week and Alhamdulillah, so far so good. Up to last night, she can recognize from 'A' up to 'HA'. Keep it up Kakak!

Sorfina practicing while waiting for her turn to read. Next to her is Sahira. She also goes to the mengaji class with us. I bought 2 sets of IQRA and rehal each for Sorfina and Sahira. But Sahira is determine to bring her own bag to the class. Check it out in the below picture.

When asked, 'Kenapa adik bawak turtle, lego dan aeroplane?' Her asnwer was simple. 'Adik nak bagi beg adik berat'. Takpelah dik.. bila tiba masa nanti adik pon sama-sama mengaji dengan kakak ye.

Welcome 2012.. Sorfina's first formal education.

Welcoming 2012 means welcoming a new routine for me and my family. Sorfina will be 5 this year and we have enrolled her into Tabika Kemas (TK). Yup.. my little girl is now entering a new phase in her life. Sahira will be three next month. How time flies right.

Sorfina is very excited to go to school. Meet new friends, learn new things... everything was a breeze except for the morning baths. You see, my husband and i usually goes to work around 6.30 am. Previous years, we just transported them to Kak Siti's house (their babysitter) without the need for Sorfina to take an early bath. On the 1st day of school, i woke her up at 7.00am. (We took 2 weeks leave considering shools starts in the middle of the week and then she have to ponteng for 3 days since we will be in K.Kangsar for Rizal's wedding.. so the new routine have to start all over again). 2nd day onwards, she opt to 'lap' only and bath after school.

On the first day of school, TK held session with parents explaining the rules and regulations, do's & don'ts, objectives, and what nots. It was very helpfull. we were even given homeworks! LOL.. It was part of the teaching aid preparation as each student must have a box with a complete set of ABC's. Two box actually.. i checked her bag last night and there was a piece of papers with numbers. That too must be in a pretty decorated box for Sorfina. It will be kept at school and each student will get his/her own box from the rack when required.

To Sorfina, mama doakan kakak berjaya dunia dan akhirat.. jadi orang yang baik, anak yang solehah dan selalu ingat Allah ye sayang.

The picture below was taken on her first day of school, after the parent teacher session.
Mama nak bayar yuran, Sorfina pulak tak abih2 menggodek beg sekolah dia :)

My Malaysia

I love Malaysia because:-

  1. We are not kiasu like the Lions and not rebellious and provocative like the Garudas.
  2. We can sit in a match next to the enemy but not harming them.
  3. Our players have the guts to play even in a stadium full of 'evil spirits'.
  4. The spectators and supporters stayed with the team even if we did lose the game.
No, its not the Merdeka month. In case you havent notice, Tigres have just had Birds for dinner. Garuda to be exact. Ha ha ha!

Books

I just realised that its been such a long time since i did some reading. The last book that i actually read until the last page was like two years ago. Masa berpantangkan anak kedua.

Reflecting back, i only started reading Malay novels at the age of 15. Lama giler kan.. dulu dok giler sweet valley ( i think that was the name of the series) Its about a pair of twin sisters and their adventures as children and the series then extended its range to their college lives. Yup. My childhood lives involves me imagining my life being like them. Tu lah penangan membaca. You can imagine all you like.

When i reach adolesence, i discovered Malay novel. Haha.. macam apa je kan. But this one novel was the one that opened my eyes to reading novel-novel Melayu. Title of book - Sena Kembali Berbunga. Memang best sangat-sangat. I dont remember the authors name. But i remembered that i loved the book so much that i started to read other malay novels. Dah masuk sekolah asrama, lagi lah banyak stok-stok novel melayu yang boleh di pinjam dan baca.

Another malay novel that swept me right of my feet was Adam & Hawa by Aisya Sofea.

And now... i'm totally head over heels for Aaron Aziz. Apakah? Actually i loved his character in Nora Elena. Just found out that the story was adapted from a novel entitled Kasih Yang Suci by Meen Zulaikha.

To tell you the truth, i havent read this book. Almaklumla dah lama tinggalkan hobi yang satu ni. I'm trying to start back and tried searching for this novel everywhere. And i do mean everywhere. But it was SOLD OUT. Which made me wanting to read this book even more. Have made my order and now is waiting patiently for its arrival

Why reading? Well, i find it is one way to relieve stress and the characters are always good looking. Haha.

Dentist & Cavities

Yesterday was and exciting day for me and the kids. We were on the road from 9.30 am till 7pm. Dah boleh sampai Kedah dah. The day started with Sorfina, Sahira and I going to a dentist at Klinik Pergigian P.P. After waiting for an hour, Sorfina's name was finally called and Dr. Z checked her teeth a few minutes and told me to go to Hosp S. No reference letter required he said.

So off we went to Hosp S. At the hospital, the nurse said.. Kami hanya terima kes yang ada surat refer Kak. What?!!  (Penat den berkejaran dtg sini kena patah balik ke?). Before going back to the clinic, i gave them a called.

Klinik  Pergigian P.P:  Puan, doktor sini memang tak keluarkan surat untuk refer.

Me: Tapi tadi doktor yang suruh saya terus pergi ke Hosp S. Hosp pulak tak terima kalau tak ada surat reference.

Klinik  Pergigian P.P:  Puan kena pergi Pusat Kesihatan, untuk dapatkan surat tu.

This is what you call communication? Macam tak link langsung dengan apa yang doktor tu mula-mula cakap kan? Hurmp!!

After ending the call, we went from Hosp S to the Pusat Kesihatan in search off the reference letter. I dengan 2 orang kanak-kanak pon terkedek-kedek la berjalan from the parking to the registration counter. Once arrived, a nurse at the counter told me that the childrens dentist is only on Friday.

Nurse Pusat Kesihatan: Khamis memang tak ada staff nurse yang check kak. Akak kena datang esok.

Me: Doktor takde ke harini untuk check?

Nurse Pusat Kesihatan: Untuk gigi, staff nurse kena check dulu. Baru boleh refer pada doktor pula. Kat sini setiap Khamis memang tak ada untuk budak-budak.

Me:  (Aduihh) Memang semua pusat kesihatan tak boleh check ke hari Khamis?

Nurse Pusat Kesihatan: Shah Alam & Seri Kembangan buka.

Me: Bangsar buka tak?

Nurse Pusat Kesihatan: Kawasan KL kami tak tahu la puan.

Takpelah.. gamble je pergi ke Bangsar.

Once again we were in the car heading to Bangsar. Arrived there 1 o'  clock sharp only to find out that it was lunch break and they will only open back at 2pm.

Where to go now?

Sahira: Mama, kita nak pergi makan ke? Adik lapar la.

Me: Adik lapar ye.. ok, kita pergi makan nak?

Sahira: Nak

Me: Adik dengan kakak nak mkn nasi? Kita cari nasi nak?

Sorfina & Sahira: Nak.

Shops around Bangsar were packed since it was lunch time. Where to for lunch? A.Cafe! Off we went to A.Cafe. Parking was easy peasy. Thank God for that.

2.15pm and we are back at the Pusat Kesihatan waiting for our number to be called.

After seeing a nurse and then the doctor, she finally gave us a reference letter.

Shooting straight to Hosp S, went to the same registration counter, saw the same nurse. She directed us to door number 3.

Another counter and another nurse awaits us there. Sorfina and Sahira was no longer lingering with me after we walked past a playgorund. That gave me space for a decent conversation between the nurse and I. She scheduled us to come back again on the 23rd of June. Itulah yang paling awal kami boleh kasi kak. Kalau dia masih sakit juga sebelum tarikh tu, akak bawak dia terus datang sini. I thanked the nurse, gathered the girls and head back to the car.

Our journey for the day did not just end there. There was another mission to be settled. Destination, Klang - Pasar Jawa & Rojak Gani.

My mom asked me to pick up her baju kurung from her tailor there. Mak nak kena pakai untuk Marhaban Sabtu ni.. she said. It was already 4pm. Thinking that it was school holiday, i decided to used the Federakl Hiway instead. Lucky me, my prediction was right and at 4.30pm we were already in Pasar Jawa.

After chit chatting with Aunty Ana the tailor, we cross the road to the rojak stall. Pak Gani and team was still preparing things so we pick a table and waited again. An hour later, 6 rojak was ready to go!

On the way back to the car, stopped by to buy some Kuih. I bought cucur pisang for Sahira only to find out that she wanted doughnut. We were already accrossed the road and in the car by then.

Sahira: Adik nak donut.

Me: Ok, ok.. nanti mama pusing balik kita beli donut.

Sorfina: Mama, hari ni kite banyak jalan-jalan kan?

Me: Ye.. kakak suka tak?

Sorfina: Suka :)

It was a mistake. I should have just crossed the road again for the donut. Klang and its one way street. I went several rounds and it was very very difficult to find and available parking space. Found a parking not far after menawaf 5 rounds i think...and just for 2 pieces of doughnuts. Was it worth it? Every single bit. Sahira was so happy to get her doughnut. Ate every single bit until finish.

The time was 6.15pm. Must arrived at home by 7pm - Tiba-tiba terhooked pulak dengan drama Nora Elena.

From Klang, i took the usual route back to Puchong. Made a pit stop at P.P pharmacy for the kids toothbrush and tooth paste. Depa ni buat main sama toothpaste ni.. cepat betul habih.

7.15pm - Mission Accomplished! Reached home in time to watch Nora Elena.

All in all, it was a hectic day. My lovely kids slept in the car a couple of time too. Penat berjalan tetapi puas kerana semua berjalan seperti yang dirancang. Alhamdulillah

Ibadah Qorban 2010

Orang-orang kampung bekerjasama melapah daging.
Turut serta melihat, Sorfina...
dan Sahira :)

Deepavali Holidays

Deepavali fell on a Friday. That means i have a 3 days break from work.. yippee!!!

What did we do over the 3 days break.. ooh lotsa stuff.. had a haircut, attend wedding, visit the mall (this is an agenda that i do almost everyweekend) and trust me.. it is not helping my pocket.. hee.  Must cut down on this activity. Oh, the haircut only cost RM40  for the four of us (yup this time the whole family went for a haircut at the same shop since the barber that En Fnd usually goes to is in a festive mood = shop closed). Luckily his haircut turned out ok too.. tp sempat lagi komen.. potong rambut kat saloon tak best sebab tak dgr gunting tu berbunyi.. apakah?

Anyway.. the girls had fun at the wedding.. sampai nak tanggal2 baju lah si adik tu.. that was when we head back.. dah nak strip tease kat umah org sebab kepanasan..balik rmah ja serbu bathroom.

Not to mention that Sorfina and Sahira bathh more than 3 times a day too.. berendam kalahkan bluehyppo!

Here are some pics taken at the wedding..
Tgk tu.. depa sampai dulu tinggalkan mama & papa kat belakang.. siap mkn pulak tu :)

Live gamelan. Nice..
and live music too..
Peace version Sahira..lol
Gadis melayu.. Moga jadi anak yg solehah.. amin.

Day trip to Kuantan

Lama betul tak balik Kuantan. I think it has been a year since we went back. Banyak yang sudah berubah. Hi-way Kuantan Kempadang - Pekan pon dah siap. If it werent for mom leading us the way, i think we could have been lost. Boleh sesat lah jugak. Bila dah ada hi-way atau jalan besar, secara tak langsung kedai-kedai kecil kat tepi jalan tu pon makin maju.

Reason why we went back, was because our neighbour Pak Mat & Makcik Yah invited us for their daughters wedding. It was a day trip. Maknanya, pergi pagi, balik ptg. Penat tp best! Tak sempat nak berjalan seluruh pekan Kuantan tu.. tetapi me and Mr F sempat berdating kat Mok Na. Makan udang goreng tepung, ikan goreng tepung, keropok lekor..Semuanya fresh & sweet.. sempat lah lepas kempunan. Nasi lemak zaman je tak sempat nak merasa sebab dah petang.

Next trip, nak bawak Sorfina & Sahira jalan-jalan kat TC pulak. I think they would be thrill to see the monkeys :)

Baru sampai..

Sayu

i watched a clip that was shared by a friend & cried my heart out.

Terasa sayu bila melihat seorang anak kecil terpaksa berperang untuk hidup. Namun, Allah lebih menyayanginya.

Al Fatihah buat Alanna Qish.

Down The Memory Lane

This is a rather backdated post.

Berkesempatan untuk ke sini lagi.Tempat pertama aku bekerja. Tempat pertama aku mendapat rezeki. Tempat pertama aku berjumpa dgn si dia :). Well, yg last tu agak exaggerating sebab tempat pertama aku berjumpa dgn si dia masa kat uni.. Tp time tu tak geng. lol.

This place will always have a special spot in my heart. Terlebih sentimental kah? I dont think so. This is the place where i met good friends too. Biar lah org nak kata jauh... tempat jin bertendang.. But for me, semuanya mudah di sini. Even more convenience than the current place. Nak pergi bank, pasar tani, shopping ke Alamanda, JJ, Putrajaya..pendek kata nak gi mana-mana lah..confirm sempat :) Yg paling penting.. nak parking pon senang!

Tp, my visit this time, the place looks somehow different. Without the 'people' it will never be the same.
How i miss those good old days.

H.E.L.P ! ! !

I'm addicted... Help! I never thought i'd be addicted to any tv series again. After Nur Kasih that is..*sigh* ok, lets not dwell on that coz if i did, it will be a never ending story of Adam & Nur *sigh*. ok..ok..

Now, my latest addiction is this tv series shown on astro prima.  called Tudung Ekspress. Actually there are 2 but the latter, Mr F tak bagi tengok sebab cerita dari seberang, reason for liking it? One of the cast has a charming character and headoverheels handsome! hahahah.. tu yg lagi tak dapat nak tengok tu!huhu.

Back to the topic.. Tudung Ekspress..How did i got hooked? Well, since my hands were full with two little kiddies after iftar and when everyone else is doing Terawih, i on the other hand search for something to occupy Sorfina & Sahira with. Lucky me! And i really do mean lucky because Sorfina somehow likes to watch Qalesya (also another drama on Astro Prima.). And right after that drama ends, its tudung ekspress.

Mula-mula tengok cam biasa ja. Tp lelama layan la pulak! I like the characters of this 4 friends (Dira, Erin, Mei & Del).

Julia Ziegler, Lisa Surihani, Chermaine Poo, Linda Hashim
Sorang tu mualaf, sorang tu macam kelam kabut sket, one is married with kids and the other is the youngest. But like us all, they have their own ups and downs. And thats what the whole series is basically about. Called tudung ekspress because they all wear head gears and commute by Komuter and this series is actually sponsored by KTM. My review sounds pretty dull huh? But trust me.. you'll like it once you've watched it. Even my dad ketawa terbahak-bahak watching this story.. heh heh.

Owh, one more thing, it is a filmscape production and the producers are Kabir Bahtiar & Mira Mustaffa.. which also made Nur Kasih.. that why i like!

Mystery

It was night. The bedroom light had been turned off and everyone was sound asleep. I woke up to a sound that me myself was uncertained of. Suddenly scenes from a horror chinese story that i've watched late that night came to mind. Tu la.. gatal lagi tengok citer hantu. I laid down still. Just within seconds i felt like something had stepped on my fingers.. my nails to be exact, and it started to hurt badly. Clamping my hands tightly I was like.. what the? Pesal tetiba jari sakit ni.. After twisting and turning a few times, i fell asleep. The next moring, i was shocked to find that there were traces of blood on my pillow and pyjamas. My nail cracked and had turned blue black by then. I quickly scanned the bedroom area but everyhting was in place.

That was 17 years ago and up to this day, i still didnt know what hit me.

Father & Son

In the news, a couple of days back i saw a clip about a Palestinian boy (just about 3 or 4 years old) being torn away from his father by the Israeli militants. The boy cried helplessly watching the damn militants took his father away from him. His father was being accused of stealing water.

That may be the last day for him to ever see his father.

Heartbreaking.

Blank mode

I dont have a specifice title or subject in mind but i feel like writing.. So to whom feel like reading my writing today feel free to do so.

Its wierd but.. i was browsing thru the net and came accross a page where i hate the person utmost. If the rank is 1 to 10, my hate towards this particular person is infinity (a bit exaggarated but thats the picture). and yet.. we have no connections, not related, have never had a decent conversation. Explanations please?

Ok, i'm not making sense. maybe i should write some other time. the end.

Floria Putrajaya 2010

17th July 2010 Mr F, the kids & i went to see Floria Putrajaya. Actually the Mama was more excited compared to the kids. But wth.. janji dpt tgk bunga cantik2 dpt jln2.. apart from seeing the beautiful flowers, there were also booths selling a lot of different stuff. u can get flowers, vegetable plants, head scarfs (i was actually aiming for that booth) but there were so many people, we just walked by everything.

Then there was an announcement saying that Upin & Ipin was in town. Once again, the Mama is extra excited compared to the kids. Luckily too since i tried scouting the area but they were not to be seen *sigh*. So off we went to Alamanda for lunch. (Sorfina beriya ajak nak mkn nasi goreng kat kedai)

Beautiful..
1 Malaysia!
Sorfina's favourite :)
Pengganti Paul?
